inviting a specific member to play

i think you click on new game on the left as soon as u log in then u put in time, raated, name of game etc then without putting in minimum abd maximum ratings put his name in the box which says which member
I have a friend, already a member, who plays. How do I invite him to play? I want to play turn taking style rather than live.
