It is the most recent version in the Apple Store (I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app). It looks like that is 3.8.66. I'm running iOS version 12.3.1, if that helps. Thanks!

Another member said they could not start the app on their sixth generation iPad.
The app runs fine on my iPad Air 2.

I don't know what the app settings page is. I have apps do they all have app settings pages? I don't know what this means

Tap the 3-line button in the upper left corner. The settings tab is at the bottom of the list.
It started working again for me about 2 or 3 days ago.
Make sure you have cellular turned on for both the chess.com app and Facebook (or Google) if you use those for authentication.
I am sorry to hear that. But you can try following ways to fix it.
1. Force quitting the app and open it again.
2. Force reboot your iOS device.
3. Use professional iOS system repair tools such as TunesKit iOS System Recovery, etc to completely solve it while causing no data loss.

I have encountered similar app crashes. This is caused by a malfunction of the app or iOS. I have used TunesKit iOS System Recovery and Dr.fone. Their user experience is terrible. Finally, RecoveryTool Fix Recovery fixed my problem.
for the last day now the chess.com app is crashing on both iPad and iPhone. I deleted the app and reinstalled but logging in causes it to crash. Am I the only person having this issue?
