Hmmm . Mine is working. Check for an app update. If you have it then try a hard reboot ( hold home button and off button at same time) or delete and reinstall app. It's possible in your neck of the woods (world) the latest update isn't there just yet
Done a hard reset. Still nothing. Just a red badge icon with the number of games it's my move for, but never a text notification :(
All I've been getting is an alert noise. I used to get banners but they stopped all of a sudden about a week ago
Finally somebody who feels my pain! I only joined recently, so I've never received them. To the developers of the app: please fix ASAP!
Now I feel your pain. I was two updates behind then I saw one on the 19th. So I updated the app now no banners ! UGH
I just got an app update this morning (Australian AppStore), which said it has a load of bug fixes. Hopefully this update fixes the problem (the previous version had no banners for me). I'll post back here letting you known if it's fixed.
I've recently downloaded the Chess.com app for iOS and am really liking it so far. My only problem with it is that notifications are sound and vibration only. I don't get a single message appearing anywhere on my phone (other than a badge icon) telling me what the notification was.
While I do like the notification sound, if my phone is on silent and it simply vibrates, I have no way of knowing what sent me a notification, as upon viewing the lock screen, nothing is there.
It'd be nice if an actual text notifcation was sent telling you which game is ready for a move, and how much time you have left or something. Otherwise I need to unlock the phone, find the app icon and check to see if the vibration was in fact from the Chess.com app, or something else, or maybe I just imagine it!
Seriously though, almost all apps have an option to enable some sort of text based notification, so if you could look into adding this, it would be much appreciated!
