IPAD TROUBLE

I just updated the operating system on my IPAD.  Now everything works on the chess.com site EXCEPT I cannot highlight a chess piece or pawn and cannot make a move.  All other features seem to be working.  This problem seems to be confined to online chess; live chess is just fine.  My Problem or fault somewhere else?  Help please!

yeah that is happening to my friends iphone as well...he can play the computer just fine and he can see me (i have an android phone) and he can start and accept all games and even do the analysis board during our game but he cannot move his pieces at all.  WTF?

can you try to close the app and restart it? if that doesn't work, try a reinstall? if that doesn't work, we have problems...

Erik------this is not an app.  I am playing turn by turn, correspondence style so it is being played within SAFARI and have never had a problem before upgrading to recommended os for ipad

ah - in that case i recommend you clear your ipad cache and reload.

well for my friends iphone, it is the app.  i will have him do a reinstall and see what happens.

Ipad cache, along with cookies,  and problem persists, can this problem with Safari be due to updating the IPAD's os?  I can always use the app, but I sure had no problem using Safari to play chess.com's "online chess" prior to updating as Apple suggested

turns out that apple safari got an "upgrade" that killed things. i'm investigating more...

Same problem here, but the strange thing is if I touch Chat tab it then works fine.

Touch the "moves" tab and you will then be able to make your play. The upgrade has just added a step to playing on line.

i found the same thing! you have to touch some other link (move tab will do) before you can then click on something. i have NO idea why apple made this change - I don't even know where to report their stupid bug :(
