is it a coincidence?

Ok i admit it.My internet connection sucks.My isp does't want me to play live chess.

But here's a weird thing.

I made the following observation:

The 90% of the times a live chess i play is reconnecting,is when i am in the final 5-10 seconds the game!

How is that happening?Is it a coincidence?

Is there a logical explanation?

I would like to have an answer to this either from staff or from anyone..

Do you play (almost) all games with the same time control? How early on do you disconnect?

No, i play with different time controls but usually faster time controls..

If i play 1|0 it will disconnect at the final 5 seconds.If i play 3|0 it will disconnect at the final 10 or 20 seconds.But this is not a rule.I just made an observation that it seems not a be a matter of luck.
