Is this user every actually online?

He moves in online chess games, but never ever has the Online symbol next to his name. I'm suspecting he's a bot.

Hes online now and he could be using conditional moves.

I never cease to wonder at how frequently charges of cheating are levelled at 1400-strength players here.  What "bot" do you think they'e using, something time-warped from the '60s?

Even if your suspicions were more reasonable, it's completely inappropriate to call someone out publicly on the forums.  There are links to report suspected cheaters to the staff; use them.  This way just makes YOU look bad.

It didn't say he was using conditional moves. Being a basic member, he did more than 3 moves in a day, so that's more than allowed on mobile phone.

i have the same issue. Sometimes it appears I'm offline when I'm online. Sometimes it says I'm only on live when I am on turn-base only.

Sometimes it says I'm on both when I'm just on one.

It is. But this user actually NEVER shows up as online. Mobile Phone chess isn't allowed for him because he made more than 3 moves. He could be a cheater-very unlikely though considering his rating.

Is there a limit on the number of moves you can make from an iPhone? I use an iPhone all the time to make moves.

I'm sure iPhone falls under Mobile Phone app limit.

not really if you use wi-fi, I am not sure about 3G. I make move from my Ipod on the app and there is no limit

I use the itouch to play and there's no limit
