I've beeing spammed with random daily games

When I woke up this morning, and logged into chess.com to do my daily puzzle, nothing seemed off, I was just waiting for the one person I am playing a daily game, to play. Some minutes passed, and I received a chess notification on my phone, saying that a player I never played with, had made a move on our daily game, and when I entered chess, I was playing more than 20 people at once (I even received the Juggler award for that, just to show that I am not used to that), all of them on the first move yet. That was really strange, because I mostly play daily games with friends, rarely I play with stangers. And as long as I know, the only way to play with strangers is if I choose to play a random match with someone, the same time they choose the same thing. Also, I thought that when you ask to play a game with someone, they had to accept it first, something that didn't happened with me, I only had the option to abort/resign, not the option to refuse to play. When I saw it at first, I decided to play some of the games, so I started making some moves in the games I was white. While doing that, I saw that there was some people that I was playing two or three games at once, other people that where rated way higher or lower than me (which doesn't make sense to a random match). After I make the first move, some people played right after me, some are still online, and some even resigned after it, making me wondered if those people wanted to play in the first place. This wouldn't have been such a problem if it was just those games, but as time passed, more and more games have been added to the ones I am playing. I tried to search about this on Google, and on forums, but I didn't seem to find anyone having the same problem as I. So if anyone knows a solution, or the reason I might be having this problem, please help me, it's getting really annoying. (By the way, English is not my first language, so sorry for any mistakes, you can ask me if you didn't understood something)

I'm getting the same thing and I don't know why. I just logged on and I have an influx of daily games (+19 daily games) with people I've never played before. I'm not sure if this will keep happening, anyone else have this issue?

UPDATE: I realized it's because I joined the 2023 Chess Daily Chess Championship
