Dear Sir/medam, I can't open challenge anymore because i get a message saying You currently cannot create or accept open challenges. Your play is restricted because you have not followed our Fair Play Policy which discourages disconnecting, intentional stalling, etc. However, you are allowed to still play with friends. You may play openly again after finishing more games with fair play. If you feel this is an error, please contact Chess.com support.
I've been blocked for violating fair play rules?
...
TadDude, even though i've added a few friends i still get the same message when i try to challenge them. Any suggestions?
The help entry indicates "You will still be able to play games with friends" http://support.chess.com/Knowledgebase/Article/View/171/0/fair-play-policy
If you cannot challenge them I suggest a bug report about playing friends (not about fair play). http://support.chess.com/Tickets/Submit
So you think it is cowardly to filter out all the people you don't want to play with but not cowardly to abort games you accept with them?
I was being sarca...
Nevermind.
You see, the problem is that you have proven yourself to be ignorant. Again, by being sarcastic you provide more evidence. Sarcasm does not translate to text. How can anyone assume that you are sarcastic when you did not change your message or writing style at all?
The problem with aborting a ton of games the way you do is that if everyone did it it would take a long time to find a game. So the makers of the site added a system to filter out people who are rated too low or too high for you to want to play. This range is toggleable.
Common sense: If you don't want to play people 200-300 points below you, filter out those people.
Decancy: Don't waste people's time by starting games with them you don't intend to play. You say it is before the game starts, but it really after the game starts before any moves are played.
