Kid`s account blocked unfairly

Hi guys.
I´m new here and I´d appreciate all possible help.
I`m father of a 11 years kid who started to play chess two years ago. Initially at school and then at a local chess club. Currently, he has classes and progressed a lot: he`s registered at Portuguese Chess Federration with a modest ELO (1459) `cause we´re living in a little island with very few opportunities for tournaments. Anyway, soon he´ll be updated higher due to 2 recent tournaments.
My point is: the kid is a huge fan of chess and got hugelly disappointed because this website ungroundly suspended his account for 1 year supposedly for "multiple violations of the Fair Play Policy". However, that´s completely false and Chess.com does not say when, why, on what grounds... nothing! The kid (11 years) has progressed a lot and he swears and cries he did nothing illegal or even unsual. Probably a decision of some algorythm...
I understand fair play rules: however, you can´t throw out the babby with the bath water!
He´s completelly heartbroken to see all his efforts thrown away in this website. He didn´t use any external assistance, software, engine, third-party aid, or any other prohibited means while playing on Chess.com. Nothing! He simply played. By his own. Progressed fast and... got suspended Chess.com sent him an email saying he could have the account back only by May 2027!
I don´t particulalrlly care about the money I paid... However, I´m heartbroken  to see all his efforts thrown away in such an unfairly and arbitrary way
We´ve appealed through the form they provide in email, but they´ve simply rehistated their decision. Without any reasons, details or technical explanation... Nothing.
Now we has access only to "help and support" bot that says his appeal was denied and account suspended for one year.
Does anyone know if we can do something about this?
I´m really considering a procedure at Portuguese and European autorities for costumers` protecion. This is an intolerable abuse, particularlly in a paid service!
Good chess games to all happy

The fair play decisions are not only handled by algorithm. There are human checks, especially during the appeal process.

If you have already appealed, and that appeal was denied, the only option is a second chance account, but if staff said it wouldn’t be allowed for a year, that's what they will stand by.

Staff do not provide details on closures, as it would make it easier to try and evade detection.

Thank you for taking some moments to reply, Martin. I really appreciate it. If it is as you say, it's simply crazzy: I swear the kid does not cheat. He simply progressed fast. However what you say seems accurate: initially they've allowed him to start a new account (where his ranking was updated higher), but now they've banned him for 1 year. It's simply crazzy! It's very unfair and frustrating. He has another account at Lichess.org and for the moment no problem at all. But he liked Chess.com. I guess this website is doomed: if you have a fast progress you'll be banned. What a pity... I opened an account for me at this website just because of my son (I'm a louzy player) and now we'll be both leaving Chess.com: it's a failed website. I'll have to check with autorities what the prospects for a legal procedure, as this is not only finantially unfair but also a scam: you invest some money and lots of your time to be groundless banned few weeks after. It's crazzy. And European Regulations say they must grant you access to your personal technical data, no matter what. We'll see what to do....All the best for you, Martin! Thanks thumbup
