Yes it has been removed and chess, com is not going to list the cheaters any longer. They are keeping the cheater icon next to their name on games they have played in. I'm not exactly sure of the reasons it may be partly due to legal reasons not sure. Cheers
List of cheaters gone

The Cheating Forum has gone to a closed group recently as well, invite only.

Yeah, I just tried to join. They still let you in, it just has to be approved. While waiting to get in, I posted this.

Sorry if I'm "not supposed" to post this or something, but people outside the cheating forum deserve to know this info:

Well hell just let them stay on the site then.......

Thanks Admiral_Kirk for posting that.
I looked at the Cheaters Forum homepage and thought perhaps it was a honeypot, so never joined.

Well actully Jamie since the oringal SA left the group has just been nothing but an off topic forum with bickering, name calling and spamming but now it has a new admin that is an actual member and not a staff member and I think he will clean it up at least a little.

I used to be in, then left when I was shedding groups. I'll pop in from time to time for occasions like this.

I agree with Erik 100%. As far as you still can see the cheater icon next to the name, it is enough for me to know that that player was cheating and that is why his account is closed.

The same thing happened with employment laws. You could of been fired for stealing, violence or sex, and the employer couldn't say what you were fired for. He could only verify that you were employed from this date to the last date. Now its harder for employers to get references but you don't want to destroy a persons life, you just want to get rid of the problem. I do agree with the site's policy BTW. Thanks Erik. hahaha Most people don't need any help destroying the're life. They do a good enought job on their own.

I agree somewhat, from a legal perspective I completely understand, but an issue is that the icon doesn't always work how it's supposed to. Example:
What happened to the list of caught cheaters? It has vanished, as has a forum post where someone asked about it. I understand if chess.com wanted to remove it for some reason, but some explanation would be nice.
