Live Chess sound

This is a 2 part problem.

1) Sometimes when I log onto Live Chess the sound alerts when a move is made do not come on (and yes, before anyone asks, the volume on my computer is up).  How can I overcome this?

2) I had this problem a few months ago and found the solution elsewhere on chess.com, but I have forgotten where.  It was a general tip in a list of things to try before you contact the site's support staff.  I think it involved the f-keys.  I have searched the site this time round but have been unable to find it.  Anyone know where this tip is?

It might be about clearing your browser's cache (temporary internet files). A hard refresh with "ctrl + f5" could also work momentarily.

go to MyHome-> Account -> check mark a box (play a sound when it is my move)

Thanks people.

Philidor_position, I think you are right.  Your comment jogged my memory.  Chess cake, good suggestion, but I should have said in my original post that I had already done that.  The problem is intermittent, so it is unlikely to be a setting issue.
