I believe whatever web browser you're running has saved the password.
logging in...

Agreed, your browser is saving your password. Firefox does a very good job of this. If you are using firefox 3, you can stop it by going to tools -> Clear private data, then making sure "Saved passwords" and "Saved form and Search History" are checked. Then click "Clear Private Data Now".
Then, to prevent it from happening again Tools -> Options, then click on the privacy tab. Under that tab is a checkbox that says "Rember what I enter in forms and the search bar", uncheck that. Also, the first time you type in your password, FF will ask you if you want to remember the password, tell it "Never for this site".

He means the tools at the top of the menu. What web browser are you using? Are you using Firefox, or are you using Internet Explorer? Or a different browser? I'm assuming you're using Windows XP. I don't know what the default color theme for Vista is.
If you're using Firefox, the tools menu will be located at the top of the window, just below the blue (unless you changed the windows theme) window border that says "Mozilla Firefox" at the end of the text. Unless you're in full screen mode. If you are, hit F11 on the keyboard to drop out of it.
If you're in Internet Explorer .. well -- I don't use it, but there should be something similar. You need to clear your private data and then tell the browser to not remember the password for the website when it asks you.
hi if anyone can help please do. Okay so when ever i try to log in to chess.com and i go on the main page where you do log in, i always type my screen name in and then when i go to type in my password its already there. How do i change that so when i do log in I have to type in my complete password. Its not on "rememeber me" either, it does that every single time. I just want some more security. Does anyone understand this or know exactly what to do? If you dont then ill ask the main people. thanks!
