some time ago a friend of mine got me started in chess with a program that taught me how to play thru a series of trials.  as i completed each trial i was awarded a new level. 

i want to say that the program was chess challenge, but as always with age my memory has gone the way of all things.  out of site and out of mind.

this was four computers ago and my friend alas has passed on to the great chess board in the sky.  meanwhile i am in search of a disc program that all i can do is describe that it had amazin graphics, audious sound, and a great tutorial on chess itself.

if anyone out there can direct me into the right search patterns or places i would be most greatful.
