No its because the k factor in fide ratings will change when you play more than a certain number of games in a month.

After i had a pretty good streak in my local weekly blitz events, scoring 20.5 out of 33 points and having a potential rating gain of 210 for this month, some members in my chess club mentioned that i might be "Punished" by FIDE, for playing too many games.
They mentioned how another guy in my club who had a good streak started gaining less elo after the first 17 games that month. Is that a real thing? That you start losing rating after 17 games?
