Just lost a game be because this flakey App disconnected me!

The chess.com app is on a different server... there is also a separate variants and four player chess server I think. For me it's my internet... lost a game a while back WHILE TRYING TO  PLAY MATE IN ONE... I won 8 games in a row after that though...

That's either your internet going down or something like that.

Also for people in 2019 who had issues that might have been because chess.com had exceeded the number of games the server on the app was allowed to keep records of wink.png

the server sucks big time, always getting timed out even though I have very good internet connectivity... bogus. I was planning to get a premium membership but this changed my mind 😡

No, I have lost connection to games when my internet was absolutely fine, the issue was on the chess.com server.

Well I lost a position with mate in one on the board, not sure if it was my internet or chess.com

I know it's not my internets fault and if my internet is down It would have a flashing on the timer then timeout of maybe 30 sec and usually my net would be back before I get abandoned, but there is no timeout it just abandons suddenly. All the abandoned games get abandoned when I'm winning, after that I lose their names on my games so there would be no way to report.

If you want evidence go ask chess.com

A connection issue doesn't necessarily mean your internet is down, though it can. You can lose connection to the live server process due to processes dropping packets on the local client, due to congestion on your local network segment, on the segments between you and your provider, or any of the equipment between your provider and the chess com live server.

However, your opponents can't impact your connection. The clients never directly connect to each other and all traffic is managed by the Live server process.  The following provides some ideas to minimize issues, but if there's an issue between you and the site, there's not a lot that can be done, short of changing how disconnects and abandonment work.
