So I've only been playing for about 2 months and For Uscf im only rated about 1055. But when I started I won my first 4 games and went to my state scholastic tournament (1300 and under section) and won 3 of 5 and placed third. But lately I've lost 3 matches in a row that I really should have won and I was wondering if it's normal to fall into "slumps" and go on a losing streak? If so how can I pull myself out of it because it was certainly a lot more fun when I was winning.
Streaks are absolutely normal. You haven't played very many games here.
You are playing mainly slow chess. If you are taking a few minutes after each game to review where you went wrong, you are bound to make improvements.
