Mandatory moves in under 60 seconds during opening?

This is a deal killer for me.  Sometimes, yes, on move 2 or 3, I need a few mins to decide on what to do. Tonight, I got this when playing.  This is NOT cool.  If I'm playing a 60 min game, I can see 60 seconds for white's first move, but not a 60 second limit on the first few moves. Fix this or I'm cancelling & going to another platform.

How could that warning apply to your second move when you've already made your move?

There is a long move timer on the first ten moves but I think it is calculated at 50% of the base time- so you would have to take 30 minutes on one move.

I've seen games with a friend where both the first and second moves have to be done quickly, but I don't play many random seeks to know for sure if that is true for all games.

As @justbefair mentioned, your move was already on the board, so that message would have been for your opponent's second move, or your opponent was disconnected.

Of course this was for my opponent's move. Doesn't mean I'm so short sighted I can't see it happening to me.  Its still really not cool but it only happened this one time.  If they want to take 5 mins to figure out what to do, more power to them.
