I think this might depend on the phone. I use mine a fair bit to come on here. I can always post notes and respond to comments. I have never been able to reply to messages or post on any forum. I also will not let me post status updates. I can type them, but they never show up. Playing chess on the phone is hit and miss. Sometimes it works, but more often than not I just get an empty board. I think this site is just far too complex for most phones.

Yes while I cannot play any chess at all I have always been able to write messages as long as I like. Until now there has never been a restriction on size.
I have the same problem but that is on Twitter 140 characters only and even then people writ entire book's and other rubbish on that site. :)
But instead of sending one message with your phone send more and the result would be the same in the end.

How can anyone write a message explaining what needs to be said in just 125 characters???
For over 6 months now I have been logging into chess.com with my mobile phone on a daily basis. I can access all of my groups, I can send and reply to messages, I can send group AND profile notes, could reply to forum posts, I could even send news posts in group where I am admin!
I could also do a whole range of other things such as send group invites and accept friends requests etc.
Over the past 2 days, however, I have been getting an error message saying: "oops error: Body must have maximum 125 characters"
Why has this just started happening??????????
Why can I no longer send messages of any length I choose??
