I agree with you completely, here is three screenshots from Nokia 5800 (which has the same OS as Nokia N97).
Chess.com board size is set to normal (biggest you can have), iChess is a java2 app like chess.com but have automatic screen adjustment for different screen resolutions , and Chessgenius is a symbian os app with touch screen support (no need of navigation bar).

I use the Nokia N97 handset. Is there any way to increase the board size in the display, in SETTINGS, the options are 'small' and 'normal' I select 'normal' which gives a board size which is barely playable, should there be a 'large' display option ? Does anyone know if the Mobile Chess application is due for improvement in regard to the DISPLAY problem here referred to and also other features ? Regards GG
