music while playing

I don't think I ever really tried playing music on my phone at the same time as using the app. Does it stop as soon as you open it, or only when you go into live chess? And what kinda of phone do you have? (mines is a little too far for me to bother reaching right now)

k. I just checked on my samsung in a bullet game (that I lost on time by 2 secs (with the default music player)). It didn't stop for me maybe it's the app you're using. Not to familiar with deezer :/

I have an iphone (latest iOS). It does the same with the built-in music app.

Music stops as soon as the app is launched. Sometimes it kinda works to replay from the app with the iOS pop-up menu but not for long.

I'm also having this problem on my iPhone. I'll be listening to something, open chess.com and the the audio will stop. I can then go back to whatever app I was playing audio on and resume listening. Kind of annoying though. How do we fix this?

I don't see a place to send a bugreport to the devs. Anyone?

Looks like it's been fixed in the last update, no more issues on my side so far!

same with me still happening in 2021

yea just got a samsung tablet and when i listen to spotify, chess.com dims the music everytime i make a move. I could turn off the sound and that would fix it, but i like the chess sounds it makes the experiance more immersive. So far no solution yet.

I've just resorted to turning off sound, it's annoying but to me it's better than just no music at all

2021 still same issue with IOS and Spotify

For iOS friends, I was able to get music to work by turning off BOTH the sounds and haptic feedback. After starting the music, I turned them both back on and it no longer mutes.

To play Spotify songs, I tried to stream them offline. Just download Spotify songs with the help of Tunelf Spotibeat Music Converter, and then I just stream them offline without launching the Spotify app. This way works pretty well.

Fix this! I want to play chess with music in the background. It is a simple coding fix, I’ll do it for you just give me access to all your vulnerable bits
