Name Change

Please give a choice of 3 usernames you'd want in order of preference. Please note that you cannot have any spaces or dots in the name, nor any special characters like dots or ^ & * ! " £ $ % ( ) + = ? / \ |

It can be either one whole word, or use a dash or underscore as a seperator.

It must be a minimum of 3 letters, and a no more than 20 letters/characters

Please remember we  have over three million members, so your username needs to be unique

Choose carefully as members can only change their username once

For adding / changing avatar

If you go onto your homepage.

Look toward the top right side and you will see where it says "Control Panel"
Just to the left of that it says "Edit Profile" (click on edit profile)

Ok, from here, you will see a box marked "Browse"  click on that and a box appears showing you different files and programs on your own computer. What you need to do, is locate the photo you want to add as your new avatar.

The image must be 100 x 100 pixels and must be either a gif, jpeg or png image

If its on your computer desktop, click on the photo, then on "ok" on that box.

This then enters the text location into that Browse box ..

Scroll down to the bottom of the page, and click the box marked "Save Changes"

Go back onto your homepage, and  press the keyboard keys Ctrl and F5 and your picture should then appear :)

It takes upto 24 hours for a newly added avatar to show in live chess.
