Yeah the old way was better. I have the same problem so I'm just bumping this in the hope that someone may have a workaround. Right now It's either live with a very messy analysis or log out of analysis and then back in to start over. If it's early in the game and we seem to be following book, I'll copy and paste the probable line from the Explorer which can help. Anyone else?
New site, classic view, analysis board

What I've been doing is copying and pasting and cutting, then logging out of analysis and going back in and starting with what I have. This, alone, is reason enough for me to stick with the old site until they dump it.

As much as I hate to admit it, V3 does have some added functionality, like all the neat things you can do with the TT, but I'd go back in a flash to V2 if they hadn't gutted it. Oh well, guess I'll just have to wait until V4 comes rolling along and see what that brings....No, I have no inside info on it, I'm just running my mouth (or fingers) as usual. Nice chatting with you.
Is there any way to delete part of the analysis? In other words, if I go through possible moves 13-18 and then want to delete moves 17 and 18 and begin again at move 16, is there any way of deleting the moves rather than adding new ones or going back to move 13 and starting over? All of those variations are very confusing to me, especially if I decide that one of the possible universes of moves is one I don't want to keep.
On the old site it was easy -- go back to move 16; make move 17; and the original moves 17 and 18 were gone.
