Yes, I've been messing with it for an hour. The "key squares," "key pieces," etc. aren't working either.
I just purchased a premium membership and nothing is working. I'll defintely be taking advantage of the no-questions-asked 30-day money-back guarantee. What a dissapointment.
To be fair, acconway 1, I've been on site for over 2 years and this is the first time I've seen the main pc application get this screwed up. Mobile applications are a whole other story....
Well think of it from my point of view. I paid 100 dollars for a product that's not working. Not only that, but I wasted over an hour of my time trying to figure out what I was doing wrong when, in fact, the problem is on their end. I don't like paying money to have my time wasted. I don't think anyone does.
The videos are still working. I do see your viewpoint which is why I rushed to defend the site and let you know this is not a normal occurence.

How does an update cause things to stop working, like TT? I thought that updates make things work better.

Sadly this is one question I can't answer for you as I'm not a programmer.
I've been a diamond member on and off for several years, and I have never seen chess.com self destruct like this before.
The timing couldn't be worse for you, spending a 100 bucks just before the site blows up. You should get a free month added on to your premium membership, for the trouble it caused.
Can those of you who were experiencing problems with TT and chess mentor try now and see if its working for you? Mine appears fixed
