Not letting me castle. - Chess Forums - Page 2

Does anyone have any idea why this is not letting my castle? I have not moved my king, have not moved the rook, I am not in check, I will not be in check, and it's not going through check. Here is a link to the game, you can check the log yourself. Is this a glitch or am I missing something?

maybe he had same problem in a previous game and that's why he said it. I dunno. maybe he just meant that he didn't know how to castle on this software yet (as he obviously did not), and wanted to know as the situation was sure to come up soon in his game. I dunno. but there is no point in being like that.

No point in being like what exactly ?

This is a thread about the software not allowing someone to castle.

A new poster who has only one game in progress says he has the same problem.

I inform him how to castle, and point out that he is not in a position to do so.

He replies that he is in a position to castle.

I tell him he is not as his Queen is in the way.

In what way do you think I am "being like that" towards him ?

you told him how it works, that was enough. the rest was not nessacery. maybe he's not good with english and mis-spoke. maybe he's just a kid. anyway, you did come off as being somewhat mean about it. that's all.

PS, i'm untracking this topic, as the problem was resolved long ago.
