Opponent timed out game shows I abandoned it

Hello I played a game where I sat for the final 4 minutes watching my opponent not move. Eventually they ran out of time. Game results showed that I abandoned the game. I lost 10 pts on ranking, yet I did not abandon. I sat there in game waiting for their move so not sure what it showed on their end. I was upset when I saw this. Is there anything that can be done?

unfortunately no, you likely disconnected from the chesscom servers, meaning you were unable to recieve your opponent's move (hence why they ran out of time), because you weren't connected to the server chesscom believed that you had abandoned the game, giving you a loss.
