Pausing a game with my friend so I don't win on time

If my friend is about to lose to me on time, is there a way to pause just that game so that she doesn't time out (while allowing times out for my other games), or is my only option to stop times out for all of my games?

If it's your friend's move, your going on vacation will not stop your friend's clock.

What I meant was that under the Settings for Daily Chess, I can change the setting so that I don't automatically win if my opponent times out. But I want to know if I can change the setting for just one game (or one opponent), or if I have to have the same settings for all of my games.

If your friend is a premium member, their games will be put in vacation mode automatically when their time gets low to prevent timeout.

You can change your setting as you said  so you don't automatically win on time leaving the game open but it's for all opponents,  if you wish to end another game where they've timed out, you simply claim the win on time
