In the live chess settings you need to turn off the auto-promtion to queen.

On Chess.com I have much trouble completing the Pawn Promotion as it won't allow me to select from the window of the Four Options
How do I accept one of the four possible when I hit Pawn Promotion - not taking my choice. . Ugh!
How do you select the piece you want when a pawn is promoted? I always get given a king and just lost a game as a knight would have won it.
