I would contact Support directly by clicking here. Paypal hates converting pounds to dollars, so they stick it to their clients. I rather dislike Paypal. But that's my problem, lol.
Paying via Paypal

Doesn't it make sense to let the decision of whether to convert lie with the recipient? If I do a lot of cross-border trade with Canada (I'm in the US), then I might want to keep a dollar balance in addition to a loonie balance.

Oh, I totally agree, Master Ozzie. But let's remember with whom we are dealing: PayPal, a division of eBay. Neither of which likes to give the customer any control over their experience for fear that they will come up with a better idea. They are very much like Microsoft!

*crying over in a corner*

LOL. I never would have made that connection Ozzie since you have an American flag next to your name instead of an Indian one. Zing!
All joking aside, when you manage a Top 500 eBay seller like I did for two and half years, there are certain things you come to not like about the job. The progressively restrictive policies of the two enterprises is what helped me make the decision to move on from what had originally been a fun job.
Hi,
For some reason, paying directly by paypal means I have to use a credit card, despite the fact I have enough money in the account.
So, as in this link: http://support.chess.com/index.php?_m=knowledgebase&_a=viewarticle&kbarticleid=733 I've sent payment direct to order@chess.com for a year's worth of diamond membership.
What should I do next, to get it activated?
