How do I copy an entire block of PGN and post it as a Game or Sequence of Moves diagram in a forum post?

Richard

Richard i answered that in your other post entitled "PGN", i will copy it to here for your benefit, hope it helps:

Ok so lets say your using the "insert position or game" into a blog or forum.

you want one of your games so you will go to your public profile which is located here : http://www.chess.com/members/view/RichardMAbrams

you then click on "My Live Chess" or "My Online Chess" depending on where your game was played.

Next, click on "view game Archeive"

Find the game you want and click "View"

Then on the right hand side of the page by the chat/details etc, click "Get PGN"

This will download the file.

You then need to open this file using a text editor such as notepad, so right click the file and select "open with.." then select notepad (if your using a Windows OS)

copy all the text in the file, then go back to chess.com and in the "insert Game" (the little chess board diagram beside the text tools in the blog writing section) in your ie Blog, paste the code in the prompted box and select your desired settings, in your case you ll be sleecting "Game or sequencial moves) then Select "Insert Game"

Thats it your all set :D,

The main thing to remember is that you need to open that file with a text editor and copy the text, unless your importing it to an engine such as Chessmaster or fritz, then you can import the actual PGN file.

Hope this helps
