Pieces blurry and "new" brown board

Since the last update, the pieces are a bit blurry. Also they changed the colors on the brown board (like slightly increasing the contrast).
On iOS and iPadOS pieces are good, but the new weird brown board aswell.
This is driving me nuts.
What happened on the latest update?
And yes, I cleared cache and tested different browsers. This is a thing.
