I am facing the same problem. A black band covers some portion of the top of the page. On lifting pieces, the pieces does not place itself on the mouse cursor. It moves with the cursor but does not change squares. Please help.

My problem mysteriously dissapeared just as it started so now everything is working fine.

I'm having the same problem as shekhar_j.
Though it only happens in chrome and firefox. Int internet explorer it works fine :/
Would like to see this fixed.

Can you guys screenshot what you are seeing? Is this happening in live chess or online chess?

Maybe it's trying to show you what the best move is? Next time u play a game try dropping the piece wherever it moves, and see how u do.
I fixed the problem. Actually, I had messed with the dll program files. Called up HP. They advised me to restore the factory settings. I saved my data and did it. It is working fine now. Suggest all of you to try the same.
When I go to pick up a piece to move it the piece jumps erratically and i cannot move and place it on a square.
I have restarted the PC and still get the same erratic behavior. Can't play until i figure this out.
