Is it me or has something been messed up again? My "piece animations" were set at default, medium speed and I did not change that. Now they jump in no time. Setting has not been changed. What the heck is happening this time? angry

There was a change in how the pieces are animated. Previous method could be variable, based on monitor refresh rates. Higher refresh rate monitors will likely see animation be slower. I don't believe you should see it go faster. You might try changing the setting, then change it back to see if that might help.

Based on that update, it's possible your OS settings may impact behavior.

Check the reduced motion/animation settings:

  •  Windows 10: Settings > Ease of Access > Display > Show animations
  •  Windows 11: Settings > Accessibility > Visual Effects > Animation Effects
  •  macOS: System Settings > Accessibility > Display > Reduce motion

This has been temporarily rolled back, so the original code is running again.
