Playing Live chess

I would like to be able to play 2000+ rated on live chess (5 min). I myself am rated 2020 there. I went to settings and on the 2 different places I am able to put the prerequirement of 2000-2900, I did (and saved settings) but still I get paired up with 1850's and 1900's. I don't play against them so the system aborts the game. Now chess.com accuses me of "stalling" and now I have to wait 5 minutes between games. I would really like to fix this. Can anyone help?

Well the obvious answer to most people reading your post, is; are you here to play chess or scratch your ego?

Might want to read this article.  Near the end they talk about having a range set at least 25 points lower and higher than your current rating or the system doesn't work.  Maybe that's what's happening...

Also the range is set from the drop down time menu when you choose custom and a rating options button pops up.  Settings just affects the seeks that you see on the graph, not what you put out.  Hope that helps...

1900 often beat me so you see it has nothing to do with ego as I freely admit I suck at chess. I Just want to play with higher rated opponents so as to be able to learn faster.
