POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

What a Pain in the A$$. I reported the problem to my payer and now have to wait for about 2 weeks. Ugh !
And that is normal.

That's a cunning plan. ;p
All my plans are.
As cunning as a fox who's just been appointed professor of cunning at Oxford University.

@ CrecyWar If you submit your membership issues using the link below and in the Subject drop down box select Billing. Explain to them everything you did to make the payment with as much info you have. I assure you they will track down what happened. They are taking tickets as fast as they can so give them a little time to search out the issues involved. They are very good at finding lost or misapplied payments. Cheers and Good Luck

Also, if you did open a ticket and you didn't receive an automated reply then you either had a problem with the email addresses you entered in the form or the email went to a spam/junk folder.

I'm intrigued. I bet you pay-pal sent the money to FB, and NOT to Chess.com. Weather that's their mistake or YOUR mistake is irrelevant. The problem here is to get you back on track and the hell with who's to blame. You said in post 17, you have "confirmed payment" but you won't tell us confirmed by who. We don't care. Your personal finances are none of our business. Pay-Pal has 2 ways of paying ANYTHING. DIRECT, and INDIRECT. In the direct path, they will send THEIR money to your designated purchaser. Then they will go into your bank account, to pay themselves back. In the INDIRECT path, you don't give them permission to GO into your bank. So you must start a debit account with Pay-pal. YOU transfer moneyies from your bank to your pay-pal account. (sufficient funds). If you attempt to transfer a purchase that's larger than your balence, it won't go. The thing about cookies happened to me. I wanted to renew my anti-virus. It wouldn't go because pay-pal gets as many complaints as Chess.com gets tickets,(maybe MORE). I'm on the phone with a tech from pay-pal and he says, "clear your cookies".
Like you, I'm thinking WTF?
He says, its a security layer that ALL banks use. WHY? Because people who are responcible with money, are generally more responcible with keeping their computers clean. HACKERS allways have a TON of cookies. They want to make SURE that the person their talking to online, is the owner of THOSE funds. My anti-virus company doesn't deal with the finances of their own product. They sub-contract that out to more professional firms. (The same way Paychex, and ADP handle payroll). Most banks don't do their own on-line service either. Ask your bank who they use the next time your in there. So I was stuck in the middle, like you WILL BE. The anti-virus company said, "Oh, we recieved your payment, but WE can't apply it. You have to send it to the XYZ Corp". Like Chess, on-line finances aren't allways what they appear.

By the way I looked up Chess.com on the www.bbb.org and they give Chess.com a " F ". You are welcome to look up the details. :(

The Holy Bible says there's two theories in money. If you give your money for FREE then money will come back to you for FREE? However if you request payment for your money then others will request payment for their's.
I am past the Bible quote stage, what I need is a miracle.

So customer service sent me a reply, sounds like a canned reply..." We aim to reply within 1-2 business days or sooner..." Meanwhile I hold my breath. So 1-2 business days and today is Sat. Wow, so I bet maybe Wednesday they reply and ask..."so what happened?"

Maybe that's why you are having problems. People who don't listen to God's words have a hard time in life. That reminds me I better go listen for 2 hours!
Vì vậy, từ Thiên Chúa thẳng vào miệng của bạn, là nó?
OK I GIVE UP. I am going to ask for a refund and try doing it again. I am getting absolutely NO HELP from Customer Service. I thank you guys for trying to help.
Tickets/e-mails typically takes them 3-5 days to respond to.
Asking for your money back and re-doing the whole thing all over will only complicate matters further. That's asking for (more) problems.
I'd say give it till tuesday/wednesday.
Then contact the A-team.
