Printing out PGN of game gives unwanted time stamp

Sort:
purpletomorrow

I moved to the new  Version 3 and it's wonderful.

BUT.

I print out all my games for my coach to go over.

Now,  downloading a PGN and printing it finds it full of time info after each move.

This makes it much harder for my coach and me to recreate the game a week later.

The old version gave me a straight PGN  without time info after every move.

Can this be remedied please?

Thanks,

It now looks like this when I print it:

It would be nice if the site could give you the option of getting the PGN either way. Until that happens (if ever), if you're computer savvy enough to run a command-line utility, you could download Norm Pollock's 40H-PGN Utility Suite. One of the 51 utility tools is called trim.exe, and it will strip out all of the comments in a PGN and leave you with just the moves.

Just for fun, I ran trim on your PGN file you posted above, and this is what trim spat out:

I'm on a mac and I"m average techy but I have no idea how to run that utility.  After I download it, what program do I use to open it, please?   Thanks ever so.

Well, it's a Windows character-mode executable file, so I don't know if it can be run on a Mac. The instructions say it can also be run in a Java Runtime Environment, but I don't know anything about how that would be done.

Well, I tried, but I think I'm stuck now.
