maybe you should consider turn-based chess if you frequently have to abandon games. then you could play moves at your convenience, whenever you had a few minutes. :)
Problem with Fair Play Policy

Thanks for the advice I might consider that. I do have to add though that I don't just abandon games-- I alwayes tell my opponent why I have to resign and then leave. Its the disconecting server that got me really in trouble. I just have to be really careful now. It says that I am just about to get banned :).
problem is fair play policy my game is not started pls verify my accounts and started my games please solve my problem
maybe someone can answer my question about the fair play policy. why close an account, because a moderator dean you have violated the policy when you know it's not valid. my ranking is above 1900.
the moderators are IDIOTS . I come on this site to play out differance moves in openning and defense. There's a promblem when your account is restricked, staying your not playing fair because 1 stalling, 2aborting and abandoning games. These things happen to me by those I am playing and you IDIOTS restricks my account. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!! Anyone reading this other than those IDIOTS open more than one account, I have several.

but you have to take into account the other players. Even if it is your connection. If your connection is so bad, dont play instant chess - its so frustrating to come on when you have a few spare minutes, only to spend those minutes waiting for a disconnected opponent not to return.

Igriffiths there r a lot of users of this site frm their mobile version.mobile network does not remain same all time. So not eveyone is doing that intentionally. This site is excellent bt we should look in this matter

I am not saying users are doing it intentionally, but the outcome is the same. If you leave a game intentionally or because you knowingly connected on a bad connection, the other user is stuck waiting for you to return.
The better solution would be to allow people to filter out users with low connection strength, or similar.
Hi to all,
I keep getting "in trouble" for the game disconecting by the server. Is there a way to avoid that becouse I don't do it intentionally. Also why do I get in trouble when I finish game with somebody, click the rematch, wait for long - have no response and then (like anybody would do) start a new game? What is also bugging me is that I alwayes say to the players that I might have to run (have a young daughter) and they have no problem with that, so why do chess.com have?
Thanks for any advice
Best Regards
