Puzzle Checkmate Sound is Gone

On both Puzzles and Puzzle Rush, the checkmate sound has been acting funny for me on the browser version (desktop). At first it changed from the standard sound to something that's like dice rolling, and now the checkmate sound is identical to the regular check sound. There's no setting specifically for the checkmate sound (though I wish there were), so I have no idea what's going on.
