rating of my opponent

how is it possible that my opponent has rating of 1800 when he did not finish a single game when I needed to start with rating of 1200?

Note that I have fide rating above 2000 and I had also tactical rating near 2400 in this site when I started to play

I just looked at that - I don't understand. I thought everyone started with 1200. Can anyone explain?

I asked my opponent about it and he gave me an explanation that his account got deleted by a mistake when he had slightly higher rating than 1800 so they gave him initial rating of 1800 with new account.

Well, I'm 2073 FIDE, expected +32.3 and I'm still very far away form a title - it's not so easy to get...
