My ratings also got reset to 400 on all formats except for puzzles. I had mailed the support staff, but haven't received any response yet.

When you first create your account it will ask if you are a beginner, intermediate, advanced, etc. If you click beginner it starts you at 800. If you click intermediate it starts you at 1200. If you click advanced it starts you at 1600. This is why some accounts start with high ratings.

I'm suffering from this issue as well. I managed to climb my rapid rating back up quite a ways, but it doesn't feel right.

Hi, after you referred my profile for potential bug, my issues were resolved. But, now again my rapid rating has become 900. It should be 1466 as before. Other formats are fine now. Can you please look into this one as well? Also, just curious ( being a software developer) what was happening behind the scenes, if it can be shared on a superficial level?

are you a member of the support team? My experience with the chess.com support team has always been great. They are responsive and respectful. It looks like this is a particularly nasty bug and I’m sure they are busy trying to fix it as soon as possible. But since it’s been over a week now I think it would be a good idea for the support team lead to send out a communication providing an update and hopefully an ETA on a fix.

No I'm not, but I have access to a chat with some staff where I've been giving them information where members have posted about it. It was mentioned that the problem impacted a very small subset of members and they've been working through tickets and the other reports.

I don't remember it asking what skill level I was when I first joined. it started me out at 1200 which is way too high for a newbe like myself. no wonder I was losing every game. I would have rather have started at 400 to 800 and work myself up.

Yes. My rapid ratings are still messed up. Mostly I play rapid games since it is better for improving. Also, it's not feasible for me to do a 500+ rating climb again since it would not be good for improvement( though can be entertaining) playing with lower-rated opponents. I would highly appreciate it if my rapid rating gets fixed as soon as possible. I am missing playing games and analyzing them.
