Reconnection / Abort?????

Sorry, not calling out anyone because the opponent did nothing wrong.  We were having a great game, the connction got lost / re-established and then it stated I aborted the game, which I did not do.  I had great position, and could have won this one.   How did this happen, and can you fix this?  Can you put my points back like they were (again).

WolfMan88: I didn't abort anything.

Sorry, but this the 6th game I lost because of some computer error or because other players don't abide by the fair play policy.

It says that you abandoned the game, not aborted. Chess.com assumes that you have abandoned a game if you lose connection with the sever for a certain amount of time. Since this seems like a recurring problem for you, your computer probably has connection issues. Chess.com can't do much about.

Ok, my mistake, "abandon" rather than abort (sorry, not trying to argue symantics).  Point was I was having a really good game (I play longer ones), and I lost because of a computer malfunction (I would like my points back--5 games now), since I can't get the game back. ie. I did not abandon the game.

I understand that you did not abandon the games intentionally.  My point is that this issue will repeat itself if the cause of this "computer malfunction" is not corrected.  The cause in this case is your connection with the internet, which is something that chess.com has very little control over.  It's up to chess.com whether the rating points will be restored or not, but it will do little good in the long run if you don't improve your connection.
