Removing CC information and auto renewal

I think it's KKKKKRAAAAZZZYYYY to have credit card info so easily accesibe, chess.com might be somewhat secure but i'm paranoid about my computer getting spied on and CC info stolen, with a keylogger they could just hack my chess.com acc and steal my CC #

how do i remove the CC number from my account without removing the 1 year premium diamond membership I already paid for?

how do i change the auto renewal to switch off?

kco, in the yellow box at http://www.chess.com/home/account.html, when you click cancel membership, it doesn't end your membership at that moment, it only cancels the renewal of it.

I don't know about deleting your CC information, but if you just want to cancel the renewal, that's how you do it.

I have been trying to search how to delete payment options. I thought they will be automatically deleted when I deleted my membership upgrade. This is very pathetic that chess.com takes and stores account details and doesnt give any option of deleting it.

You should open a ticket. The staff that handles those things may not see this post in an old topic.

Use the information there to cancel renewal but you'll keep the membership until expiration. You could ask for a refund too, but will need to open a ticket: https://support.chess.com/article/346-contact-us

If you cancelled renewal, you won't be charged when the subscription ends, but to remove CC details, you'll need to open a ticket with support.

Chess.com needs to add a debit card removal option for account holders to have the choice to remove sensitive information. This would also reduce the workload for chess.com staff and tickets submitted by chess.com users. This is the first site I have ever come across that does not have this option built in to its payment/billing process. It should IMO never be left on a site unless the account holder agrees to have their information stored on a website. This needs to be carefully considered if it hasn't already. This is just my opinion because I know for myself I hate storing debit card info on ANY site and from what I see on this forum other share the same concern as I do.
