Reporting a player for making bad moves in a game of chess?...
makes sense...
No, reporting a player for disconnecting with less than a minute left in the game as opposed to resigning, letting the time run out, etc.
Why would an opponent disconnecting cause you any grief? As far as I know you still get the win... It's certainly not against the rules of online chess for a players Internet connection to blip out.
He has done nothing "illegal"...He could just have gotten a disconnection, as Kupov said...still if he disconnected because hi got angry, you may say thats bad etiquette, but surtenly not anything you can report for abuse...He has done nothing that is not allowed, and you got the points...get over it.

As I said, it's not something I need to "get over" because I received the win anyway. The situation would be completely different if the reported "bug" were to have caused the game to not count. However, there are plenty of other threads with people complaining of disconnecters so I just wondered if there was a place to report it.
It was a fairly blatant intentional disconnect. He made a few quick moves in succession and then instantly had "disconnected" after my move.
Again, I'm not trying to come off as a whiner, complainer, etc. But you can't complain about disconnecters as community without a forum for reporting suspicion games.
Just like in real life, if things look ugly for you in a game, you have all the right to stand up and leave. It's Ok, you still lose, but quitting before the game is over is not illegal, it's an option I think.
By the way, the other day I was playing an American. No one said anything during the game but after he beat me he said some offensive stuff about me being a latino, I didn't respond but was wondering if I could actually report that guy?

I think that you're misreading the complaints about disconnections...
Are you a subtle and brilliant troll?
How am I trolling?
I am not saying you should punish someone for an honest disconnect(or "blip" as you call it). I was saying that I felt that it was obvious that this player intentionally disconnected so that they might evade a loss and thought that it was poor conduct.
As I said it's not a big deal, I was only wondering if there was a forum function for reporting players that you felt were intentionally disconnecting to game the system.

There is an Report Abuse link at the end of the page.

Dude, if you're from Chile, you are an American.

ho ho ho
I see complaints about disconnects all the time on the forums. some other sites end the game automatically with a disconnection, if both players playing have that feature set (which can be part of the seek). I highly doubt I will be playing live chess on here till they set that up or come up with their own way of dealing with disconnections that is reasonable.
Isn't the disconnect rate listed on a players profile? Why don't the people who get their feelings hurt by these sorts of things just look for players with really low disconnect rates. I also enjoy the comic juxtoposition of it's not a big deal with how can I report them.

"It's not a big deal" and "how can I report them" must be mutually exclusive terms? Not exactly. It's probably best you don't use words that you can't spell.
I can't quite figure out how this thread keeps getting bumped. The issue has been resolved.
Is there a current function to report a player? I had a GREAT match with a player. However, they made one small error that cost them. He then suicided his remaining pieces and then disconnected. I got the points for the win so it's not a problem. But is there anything that is done about people looking to "game" the system this way?
If there isn't then there should be a place for reporting blatant abuse.
Thank you
