Lady...Sound advice.

LadyM:

I was given the sound advice by Gwynnilyn (sp?) an admin of Eowyn's Guard many years ago. Credit given to where credit is due.

I want the name of the guy who brilliantly decided to force the U.N. mafia flag on me.

Yes, that is how it works in V3. But I wouldn't call it a mafia but more properly the States' bitch.

Well, just another reason to take some of the accusations recently thrown at the owners more seriously. Surprised that nobody said anything about it, or maybe I just didn't see it (I hope).

Tell the truth, do I look like my pic?

Well, I tend to agree somewhat with LadyMisil. Perhaps things are somewhat different for women than it is for men. I have encountered my fair share of stalkers and even death threats on this site. But like anywhere on the internet. There should be some anonymity.

Just a reminder: No one has to put up with death threats here. Contact staff or a mod immediately.

dang.

I don't agree that peeling back a little anonymity is dangerous.  instead, when you hide everything you simply seem very, very paranoid.IMHO.

Thats what happens when you have an open forum and allow any and everything.

Thank you. Didn't see that in the big list of countries.

@ Gynko, OP, when I first logged onto Chess.com, I used my real name and real photo. Lucky I got good advice to stop doing that. Now I don't even use my real country. (Chess.com programming insists I not leave that field blank.). I am glad I do. There are a LOT of predators, crazy people, and people with anger issues on Chess.com. More than any forum website I have been to. My advice is for NO ONE to disclose real personal information publicly on this website, and only limited real personal information in their trusted groups.

Thank you for your kind advice and also for adding some sensible views to this thread. :)

A bit late to the party here.  But, I wanted to admit that I AM the late Stanley Kubrick.  Although I'm dead, I am still a perfectionist.  This post was rewritten 147 times before I hit the "Post Comment" button.  I'm not satisfied with the results, but I kind of feel like I have an excuse since all of the flesh has rotted off my fingers, leaving me with brittle bones where once there were (dare I say) supple digits to carry out my orders.

Here you are, alive and not so well.

The irony is so strong here that it gave me hemochromatosis

My profile pic was taken by a buddy. If you look real close, there I am, across the canyon, on the other rim, waving hello all!

Place a tungsten electrode over a piece of copper, reverse the polarity, step on the pedal and the tip melts, swirl and a ball forms, voila, you have the means to weld aluminum.
