try "resign"
resticted game

@OP: eddysallin is telling you that you should resign games in order to finish them. You won't see a Resign button after a game has concluded. In order to avoid seeing this notification again, you must remember to resign if you are losing, rather than suddenly quit or simply close your browser window.
when i realise there's no way to win i do resign, but its when i win, or lose unexpectedly, the game ends, the resign buttons goes and when i click to start a new game i get told i'm aborting etc
well after messaging the help team the restriction has been lifted, but thanks everyone for the help :)

I am resticted now and unfair plasy policy. Not true! I'm a good sportmans in any game and take offense that you label me as playing unfairly! I rarely ever abort and even abandone games or let time run out when I am cornered by opponent, but resign! Unless I get dicconnected and don't get connected in the time limit allowed. I have noticed oddities on the Play Live Chess page. Pressing new 5 mins games and y bugsometime nothing happens. When dc and reconnect another game opens along with game in progress. I close the new game window to resume play and even then my time lapse more than I was actually disconnected. When refresh window new game appears and within seconds aborts. I think you have a nasty bug in your software and not me being a bad sportsman. May I note that I was a Chesspark member and having been playing chess on line since it was concieved! Sort out your end please asap, thanks

even I had been restricted from playing and the worst part is that I never aborted any game the message was always that 'Sever has aborted the game' and the opponent player can be seen as 'left the chat' and it simply means that the other players were aborting or leaving the game yet I have been punished..
Is there a way to lodge complaint ?

@Chitjan: If the server aborts the game, the abortion is charged to the player who reneged moving.
In other words, if you start a new game with an opponent, and you fail to make your first move (as either White or Black) within 20 seconds, the server will abort the game for you. This will count as if you aborted the game, because you had the move.
In the future, simply move more quickly at the beginning of the game, and your restriction will be lifted.

Abort or no abort. I'm still unfairly restricted! I click on "Start" or "New Game" and it aborts! Then I get a cheeky warning caption telling mr if I abort too frequently I would be restricted. And sure enough the next game request I get restricted! Well if this goes on much more, then I have no other choice but to use other chess on line web sights. I think may this is just a cunning ploy from chess.com to frustrate me by putting pressure on me to upgrade! If that's the case, then Bye

@tumyum: As I said, the server should allow you 20 seconds to make your first move--if your connection is good. If you have a weaker connection, the server may be counting seconds sooner than you are, or some other discrepancy is occurring. I don't know what else could be happening.
Does anybody else have some other ideas?
You can contact them by clicking the 'help and support' button at the bottom of the page and then 'contact support' on the left hand side of the page. that's what i did to get the restriction lifted, i assume this is also where to place complaints.

well whirlwind2011, as shared in my earlier post, I never waited for 20 seconds or more to initiate the move, opponents aborted the games by not moving and the warning + restriction i had to face :(

I made my move as soon as the game finished loading, and caption said that "the game aborted by server" and I get another caption cautioning me for unfair play!
I was resticted to waiting 5 minutes between games for apparently aborting games when i was actually pressing the 'new 10 min' button after a game finished, am i leaving a finished game in the wrong way?
