Samsung s20 plue Android update makes chess app almost unusable

I upgraded the android OS on my phone (Samsung S20+) and bloody hell, the home buttons just stay there, for some apps it's ok they are just resized so it all fits, but for others there are buttons that are now overridden by the home buttons and are now useless .... before the home buttons would only appear if i swiped at the bottom.

I am just new too with Android, always used iOS before this.

So for the chess android app it becomes really difficult to confirm moves, or go into anaysis mode .. among other things.

Very annoying ..

Solution I found:

Rotate phone horizontal so you can select More button at the bottom. Then Settings > General > Display.  Check Full Screen and it'll be sorted.

Excellent, thanks ... also FYI found under settings on android there is a "navigation type" that hides the buttons and you just swipe at the bottom to leave the app...
