"Settings failed to load", I can't play chess

For some reason, I can't play chess and it says "Some settings failed to load" on all modes and the Play Online button disappeared. What happened?

I'm having the same issue. Many requests are 404'ing when trying to load the play page (including /settings/me): `Uncaught (in promise) Error: Request failed with status code 404`

also have this issue which is started today 16th october.

Am playing on a Macbook Pro and have cleared cache and cookies on chrome, still just get

"Some settings failed to load, please refresh the page."

Well now it is a 503, so maybe they are actively working on it haha

We wait i guess.

I expect that this is a backend server error and that clientside changes (clearing cache, etc.) won't have any effect.

Failed to load settings. Cannot play chess at chess.com.
