Site will not let me win a game

In the past few days I have played two games which I won but was only awarded a draw. I have sent a number of messages to customer service but did not receive a response. My opponent both times agrees that I won but I was not awarded a win it was recorded as a draw both times. Anybody have any ideas?

granitoman

can you give a link to these games?

These are the links to the games. The game was declared a draw and I could not make any more moves. Also I just noticed that games that I have won are no longer showing up on my record.

It's not the site's fault you stalemated your opponent. It's your own. Get over it.

You should review the concept of stalemate.  Briefly, if your opponent has no legal moves and is not in check, it's a draw.

May want to review this http://www.chess.com/learn-how-to-play-chess#draws.

Ok, I read the rules. Not the way I learned the game. And I just googled it and this rule is mentioned in some places. I will adjust my play in the future.

In a non computer game the loser would just concede defeat in this situation by laying down his king but the computer does not give the loser a chance to do that. I guess I have to start another thread to ask why my older wins are disappearing from my game archive.

No need for another thread.

It's simple. Non-payers only have a thirty day archive.

It seems that it might encourage you.

Yeah I get it. If the people who taught me did not know the rules and I did not care enough to learn the rules correctly this is the result. Thanks for setting me straight.
