Maybe due to inactivity, (depending on the amount of time offline) the server glitched. This happens with many servers and games.
Suddenly resigned in online chess

When I was checking back to see if my opponent had replied, the server said that I had resigned and lost. As I play chess.com EVERYDAY if I have an online chess game , I was sure there is a glitch,bug or hack. Can someone please tell me what is happening?
