Hi,

Can I set the tactics trainer such that it will give me puzzles at a fix difficulty level and not adapt it?

I don't think there's a way to do that. Do you not like the adtaptive level for some reason? I like it myself.

Yes, if you play it unrated, you can choose the rating range of the puzzles you're given.
