When a vote chess game is played between two groups, and you are a member od both groups, you are allowed to play in this vote chess game for one of the groups.
Of course, however, if you have been in that same vote chess game before on one group's side, you will not be able to rejoin the same game on the other group's side. Once you leave a vote chess game on one side, you will not be able to rejoin it.
There is one little detail you may have to be careful about. I have heard of some software glitch that causes you to automatically leave a vote chess game if you join the other group participating in that game while the game is running. I am not sure about the present status of that glitch, so in order to remain on the cautious side, you could avoid joining a group as long as you are playing this group in a vote chess game.
Can you play on a Team Vote team if you also belong to the other team? I seem to recall reading this is a no-no for Team Matches.
If you join a team while you're still playing against them in a match (or Team Vote match) are you allowed to finish playing any games you've already started vs the team you've now joined?
Apropos of nothing in particular, I got kicked out of a group here while still playing on 2 of their teams! I'm finishing up all the games anyway, not because I didn't want to resign them out of spite, but mainly because I didn't want to give away my rating pts.
